(jd) The employee of a store on Wasserbreite noticed that a Garmin smartwatch was missing from the display on Monday (27.1.) and reported it to the police. After an initial review of the video footage from the surveillance cameras, a previously unknown man, aged around 40 to 50, entered the store at around 4.43 pm on Friday and forcibly removed the security from the smartwatch, which is worth around 650 euros. He then put the watch in his jacket pocket and left the store a short time later. The previously unknown suspect has short black hair and wears glasses. At the time of the crime, he was wearing a black coat and blue jeans. Witnesses who can provide information about the suspect or the incident are asked to contact the Herford criminal investigation department on 05221/8880.
