Rear-end collision

(jd) A traffic accident occurred on the bypass in Herford between Werrestraße and Goebenstraße at around 12.00 noon on Wednesday (29.1.). A 27-year-old woman from Bünder was driving her VW in the direction of Bad Salzuflen. She had to brake her vehicle due to traffic conditions. A 21-year-old man from Detmold driving directly behind her was unable to slow down his MAN truck in time and hit the rear of the VW. The 27-year-old was slightly injured by the force of the collision and was taken to hospital by an ambulance. In the car with her was her 4-year-old child, who was also taken to a nearby hospital for examination. Property damage in the four-digit range was caused.
