E-scooter riders collide

(jd) At around 6.00 p.m. on Wednesday evening (29.1.), a 41-year-old from Löhn rode his e-scooter along Brückenstraße in the direction of Werster Straße. The man was using the cycle path on the right-hand side. Another e-scooter rider, about 175 cm tall, came towards him. In order to avoid a collision, both swerved - but in the same direction, resulting in a collision. The 41-year-old fell as a result of the collision and was injured. The unknown person involved in the accident, who was wearing a dark quilted jacket, continued his journey without fulfilling his duties as a party to the accident. The Herford police traffic commissioner's office has started the investigation and is asking the e-scooter driver involved in the accident or possible witnesses for information on 05221/8880.
