Burglary in companies

(jd) The employee of a company on Löhner Straße noticed damage to the entrance door there on Monday morning (24.2.). There were also various pieces of broken glass in front of a window. The woman informed the police. The unknown perpetrator or perpetrators apparently smashed a window over the course of the weekend, but only one pane of the double glazing broke, the second pane withstood the attempted break-in. They then used a tool to force open the door in order to enter the building. However, they did not succeed in gaining access to the business premises, so that after an initial inspection no valuables were stolen. The property damage is in the three-digit range. The criminal investigation department has taken over the investigation and is asking any witnesses who observed anything suspicious between 6 p.m. on Friday and 8.40 a.m. on Monday to contact them on 05221/8880.
