Erkelenz - On December 3 (Tuesday), a previously unknown man was in a bookshop on Aachener Straße between 2.30 and 2.40 pm. He did not behave like a normal customer and therefore caught the attention of an employee. When it got a bit crowded, the woman lost sight of the supposed customer. After the stranger left the store, the Hückelhoven woman noticed that her purse, which was in a rucksack in an adjacent office, was missing.
The suspect was 180 to 185 centimetres tall and strong. He had a trimmed beard, dark blond hair and was wearing a brown-grey winter jacket. He was also carrying a black rucksack.
The police are now looking for further witnesses to clarify the theft.
